- The passengers going for refundable tickets also need to pay 200 USD as a cancellation fee. The benefit of the refundable ticket is that it processes the refund even beyond the risk-free period. Even if the passengers fail to cancel the ticket within 24 hours, they will get a refund from the airline.

- The airlines would take at least 7-10 working days to initiate the refund and make it available to you.

Emirates Flight Changes
Passengers who don’t want to cancel the tickets altogether can make changes in the bookings.
Important points:
- Go to “Manage a Booking”
- You can make changes with the link “ Change my booking link within Manage a booking.” Keep in mind you will be able to make changes using this link only if your ticket qualifies for online changes.
- Also, the airline takes extra charges for making changes accordingly.

Emirates Flight Cancellation Charges

What If Emirates Airlines Cancels or delays the Scheduled Flight?
- All the passengers need to call the customer care number and get to know about compensation details. However, we have mentioned all the details here as well:
- If bad weather is the reason for Emirates Flight cancellation, the airlines will apply for a cancellation charges waiver.
- Also, you get to choose between the whole amount reversal or credits voucher in place of the ticket fare.
- The flight reimbursement is USD 300 if the entire flight distance is less than 2000 kilometers.
- If the total travel distance is between 2000 and 4000 kilometers and the flight is delayed for more than three hours, Emirates passengers will be compensated with $400.
- Valuing time, the airlines give compensation of around 600 USD if the scheduled flight gets delayed for more than 4 hours, provided the distance traveled is more than 4000nkm.
- The airline gives back the whole amount once the delayed timing crosses 5 hours.
What happens If I Miss an Emirates Flight by more than 24 Hours?
If you have a refundable fare, you will still be eligible for a full refund, as well as the $200 Emirates flight cancellation fee. The remainder of your ticket fee will be credited to your account. If you have a non-refundable fare, you can still cancel, but the remaining value will be converted into a travel credit voucher once the Emirates cancellation fee is deducted.
What happens if I need to Cancel my Reservation and Receive a Refund?
A credit note (EMD) will be sent to your email address if you are eligible for a refund (for example, due to new taxes) as a result of a change made on emirates.com (opens in a new window). From the date of issue, this credit note is good for one year (i.e., from the date you changed your booking).
This credit note can either be used to pay for future Emirates travel or be reimbursed.
